Hair Removal Continued...
Note: If you decide to do a full
shave, with little or no hair left, read this. When the hair
grows out after shaving your pubic area it will be different
than it was before. The sharp hairs combined with the sensitive
skin will make you realize just how much movement happens
in that area on an average day. Chaffing is nearly unavoidable.
Bikini area waxing:
It is important to do a patch test of any product you use
for the first time. Then wait 24 hours to ensure that there
are no skin reactions. Remember that a slight reddening of
the skin is normal for a few hours after the hair removal.
Your hair needs to be at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch long for the
wax to have something to grab onto. Remember to wash your
skin thoroughly before starting to remove oils, conditioners
or perspiration. |

Next prepare the the wax: there are products that can be
melted in a container over the stove or in your microwave,
as well as products that simply need to be warmed up by
running them under warm water. Get into position, Sit in
a chair with your feet up above your waist and spread legs.
or Sit with one one leg propped above your waist and the
other leg planted on the ground. or Squat, bent over at
the knees and waist with legs wide so that the vagina is
easily seen. You could add a small hand mirror to the ground
to get a better look at things Now that your wax is prepared
for use, spread it in a strip across the area you'd like
to treat, apply wax in one strip increments at a time before
proceeding to the next area. Put the cloth strip across
the waxing area, leave at least a 1/2 part of cloth free
so you can grab it firmly. Leave the wax on long enough
for it to harden. Remove the cloth strip in a fast, smooth,
flat ( along with the skin )motion, holding your skin tight
with one hand. Use a wet cloth to wipe the excess wax from
your hands, then wipe your hands dry. Most wax residue left
on your skin can easily be removed with warm water, or you

How it is done:
A sticky paste is applied to the skin, and a strip of cloth or paper is pressed into the preparation. The strip is then quickly pulled away, taking hairs with it. __________________
Advantages: Can be done at home and it is inexpensive.

Disadvantages: Hairs can break off at or below surface, can be messy and consistency is difficult to get correct.
